2. APPLICABILITY

These terms and conditions apply to every offer, quotation, and agreement concluded with Line-Scissors, regardless of the communication channel used.
Deviations are only valid if explicitly agreed upon in writing.

3. OFFERS AND AGREEMENTS

All offers are non-binding and subject to availability. Line-Scissors is not bound by obvious mistakes or typographical errors.
An agreement is only concluded upon written confirmation or execution by Line-Scissors.

4. PRICES AND PAYMENT

All prices are excluding VAT unless otherwise stated.
Line-Scissors reserves the right to adjust prices at any time, including after orders in the case of evident errors.
In case of non-payment, Line-Scissors may suspend deliveries or services without compensation.
The client automatically owes late payment interest of 12% per year from the due date, without prior notice, as well as a fixed compensation of 12% of the invoice amount with a minimum of €25.

5. DELIVERY AND RETENTION OF TITLE

Delivery times are indicative and non-binding. Delays can never result in compensation or cancellation.
Goods remain the property of Line-Scissors until full payment of the invoice, including any fees and interest.
In case of non-payment, Line-Scissors may reclaim goods at the customer’s expense.

6. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL - LIMITATIONS

Consumers (B2C) are entitled to a legal 14-day withdrawal period, except in the following cases:

  • Opened or used hygiene or sharpening products

  • Personalized items (e.g. engraved scissors)

  • Used or visibly modified scissors

  • Sharpening services fully executed before the end of the withdrawal period, with prior consent

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. The customer is liable for any diminished value due to use.
B2B clients (salons, distributors, schools) are not entitled to the right of withdrawal.

7. WARRANTY AND COMPLAINTS

Line-Scissors guarantees that its products are free from material and manufacturing defects.
The lifetime warranty applies only under normal use and with documented maintenance according to the 10-step care plan.
Sharpening warranty applies only to the original state and up to 14 days after the sharpening service was delivered.
Defects due to misuse, dropping, poor maintenance, or tampering are never covered by warranty.
Complaints must be reported in writing and by registered mail within 5 calendar days after delivery. After this period, the product/service is deemed accepted.

8. SHARPENING SERVICES (SHARPENING FACTORY)

The customer is responsible for proper packaging and shipping of scissors.
Line-Scissors is not liable for loss, theft, or damage during transport to or from the customer.
Sharpening is performed using traditional Japanese techniques. Line-Scissors cannot be held liable for subjective quality expectations or wear due to aging or incorrect use.

9.LIABILITY

Line-Scissors is only liable in the case of proven intent or gross negligence. In all other cases, liability is limited to the value of the order concerned.
Indirect damages, consequential loss, loss of profit, or reputational damage are explicitly excluded.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on the website, including trademarks, logos, texts, designs, photos, and videos, is the exclusive property of Line-Scissors or its licensors.
Line-Scissors is registered with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) under number 018903708.
Any reproduction, distribution, modification, or use without prior written permission is strictly prohibited and may lead to legal action.

11. FORCE MAJEURE

Line-Scissors is not liable for delays or failure in the performance of any agreement due to force majeure, including but not limited to war, strikes, pandemics, fire, natural disasters, cyberattacks, transport disruptions, or government measures.
During force majeure, obligations are suspended. If the situation lasts longer than 60 days, both parties may terminate the agreement without compensation.

12. SANCTIONS FOR NON-COMPLIANCE

In case of late payment, unjustified returns, or breach of contract, Line-Scissors reserves the right to:

  • refuse future orders

  • suspend current services

  • charge fees for storage, administration, or legal recovery

13. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

All agreements with Line-Scissors are governed by Belgian law.
In case of dispute, only the courts of the judicial district of Leuven are competent.
